Well, registration works and has been tested, with one cavet. Right nw, you get to choose your own password up front, then the thing is emailed to you as well… BUT, if you happen to have an earthlink email, then, for some strange reason that only earthlink knows, said email never reaches you (doesn’t even get as far as the Spam filters). Could have something to do with the host for this site, but since all you nice people write down your password when you pick it, then this shouldn’t be an issue. Right?
The comments are currently set for anyone to reply, though registered users don’t have to go through the name and email thing every time. But as traffic around here picks up this will change, and I will then set it so that you have to be registered and logged in to comment.
I’ve also just added a chat box. Had a choice between java based or Flash based. It’s Flash for now, but if that proves a bit slow or unreliable then I can switch it over to java/css. Any problems with it, then just comment to this post with your feedback.
