The Moons is one of the three cards of the Maldene tarot’s High Arcana, but why do they appear as drawn?  And why three?  Well, there’s a simple enough answer.  The world of Maldene itself has three moons, each exactly as colored on the tarot card.

Largest Gamro is Yellow, the middle sized green moon is one is Gamra, and smallest blue moon is Gamri.  The differing colors has something to do with their atmospheres, because unlike Earth’s moon, these three moons are more alive.  Curious, though; these moons are spaced such that, wherever you are on the surface of Maldene, you will see one and only one moon, then as one sets, another immediately rises across a different horizon.  Don’t bother trying to predict which moon it will be, there is no discernible pattern (for you physics nerds out there, this is a three-body problem), just accept it like the locals do.  And never a moonless night.

Though perhaps even more curious are the exact relative sizes of these moons, for Gamri is one-third the radius of Gamra, which is one-third the radius of Gamro.  And Gamro is one-third the radius of Maldene itself.  And I should note, that Maldene is a rather large planet, meaning that Gamro is approximately the size of your Earth (there’s reasons why Maldene’s gravity is six times that of Earth).
