Okay, it’s back to some more Maldene Tarot card images, though I do have images of other characters as well as of other worlds in the Maldene star system.  Like Earth Tarot, Maldene’s has different suits, and court cards, though the arrangement is different.  For Maldene it’s three suits– Gai (swords), Naib (orbs), and Trib (rings)– and there are some additional court cards, namely the Prince and Princess.  Each such suit has it’s own personality, and so each set of court cards reflects this.

Let’s focus on the three Princess cards right now.

Naib is a suit of emotions, positive and negative, love and hate, including innocence, as in the case of the Princess of Naib pictured as quite the young innocent.  Of course you must still remember that these cards have three faces, which means that innocence can turn on you if you aren’t careful.

Swords is a suit of strength, struggle, and aggression, which means that its princess is not the sort of personality to simply be attending royal galas and hiding behind handsome knights.  Quite the opposite, the Princess of Swords as a sword and is ready to defend herself, unlike the previous princess.  Of course, one can become the other if the cards are laid out with one pointing to the other.

Sort of like a certain set of Royal triplets.

Yes, that’s how they first appear in the first novel, but all things change, and the story of Maldene has a timeline; little princesses grow up, and I should mention that there’s nothing little about those of the Maldene royal lineage.

Of course, that’s getting ahead of ourselves a bit.  Onward to the last Princess card.

Trib is a suit of power and money, so you’ll have to pardon the Princess of Trib if she’s looking down at you as if you’re a bug that’s far beneath her.  A bit haughty, perhaps even selfish, it all depends on which corner is pointing upwards.  While this is the public perception of standard royalty, for the family of a certain King, they are something quite different.  Indeed, the true Royals of the world have a responsibility best described by this last card:  The Sun.
