Art Of Maldene: The Solar System

When I said that Maldene is a world made complete, I wasn’t kidding around.  In fact, I have the entire solar system stated up, from the other planets to the comet cloud.  And not just for busy work; a few of them do indeed appear in the story, though much later on in the series.

In all there’s fourteen planets, including Maldene itself.  Yeah, large system around a large blue star.  I won’t show them all, just a view interesting highlights.

Hemra is the innermost planet, the equivalent to our own Mercury only worst.  DOubt me?  Here’s a look at the surface.

With a mercury-lead vapor atmosphere and heavy metal seas, it’s not a place anyone wants to be.

Ravem is a bit like Venus, though Venus just might be a bit more pleasant.  From, there we skip out a few more worlds to Mefra, which is basically a giant cosmic battery with a pair of moons to keep the charges balanced.

It’s a large gas giant/solid crossover with a sulfur core.  Next out from, there is the largest planet in the system, Glomfr(augh).

This one is a near miss tyo fusion and visibly glows, gradually with ever-changing colors.  Then the last one is rather unusual.  If you think Saturn is unusual with its massive debris ring, then get a load of Zoma.

Well, that’s it for now.  Until next time…
